On 1st and 2nd of March 2018 all stakeholders of the European IOF2020 project met in Almeria, Spain. The purpose of the two-day event was to discuss the progress of the 19 uses cases that are being realized in the project, and to evaluate possible next steps.
IOF stands for Internet of Food & Farm, and aims to bring together European companies and research institutions, in order to accelerate the use of experimental IoT technology in agriculture and livestock farming. The project is part of Horizon 2020.
Today Crodeon is not involved with IOF2020. However, because all use cases concern smart farming with the use of new technology, our presence was of great strategic importance.
On the second day a round trip was organized in one of the greenhouses where experimental IoT technologies are being demonstrated.
